Dean “Bro” Tremps is a Senior Advisor at the Patriot Group. Prior to retirement, General Tremps served as the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, Headquarters Air Combat Command from November 2019 to May 2021. He assisted Air Combat Command in organizing, training, equipping, and maintaining combat ready forces for rapid deployment and employment. Before his service at Air Combat Command, General Tremps served as Assistant to the Commander, Air Education and Training Command and served as point for educating IndoPacific countries on the U.S. Air Force innovative Pilot Training Next program. Additionally, he served as Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, U.S. Air Forces Central Command assisting with the development of contingency plans and providing oversight for the execution of air operations for the 20-nation U.S. Central Command area of responsibility covering Central and Southwest Asia.
General Tremps has served in numerous flying and staff positions to include unit commander, headquarters director, and Commander of the Virginia Air National Guard. He has more than 3400 military flying hours and has flown the T-38, F-15C, F-16C, and MQ-1B aircraft. General Tremps earned a Bachelor of Science in Systems Analysis at Miami University and a Master of Science in Aviation Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He has also completed the Capstone General and Flag Officer course with the National Defense University, the Homeland Security Executive Seminar, Harvard University, the Enterprise Leadership Seminar, University of North Carolina, and the Advanced Senior Leader Development Seminar, Warrenton, VA.
