Robert Taylor is a Senior Advisor at the Patriot Group. Prior to retirement, General Taylor served as the Deputy Director for the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs and the Assistant Adjutant General, Army, for the Michigan National Guard from October 1993 – October 2006. As Commander of the Michigan Army National Guard, General Taylor was responsible for the wartime readiness of four Brigades, two Training Installations and 17 Battalion-sized organizations totaling over 9,000 soldiers. General Taylor served as the Chairman of the Board, National Guard Association of the United States from 2004 – 2006, and was a principal advisor for six years to the Secretary of the Army as a primary member on the United States Army, Reserve Forces Policy Committee.
General Taylor has a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Spring Arbor University. His military education includes the Military Police Officer Basic Course, the Field Artillery Officer Basic and Career Course, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and the Senior Reserve Component Course at the U.S. Army War College.
