Mr. Matthew Pincus is the Government Relations Advisor at the Patriot Group.
Previously, Mr. Pincus served as the Deputy Legislative Director, National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) where he managed the legislative portfolio specializing in Air National Guard (ANG), cyber, joint and personnel programs. He developed and executed NGAUS’ legislative strategies by working with Congressional offices, Congressional Defense Committees, the Adjutants General, the National Guard Bureau, and industry partners. He secured robust funding and key authorization language for vital National Guard programs and platforms in annual defense appropriations and authorization bills, advocating for aircraft modernization funding, personnel issues across the Guard to include improving access and treatment of mental health, as well as equity of benefits across all components of the military. He also served as the Military Legislative Assistant to Congressman John Carney (DE) from 2011-2014.
Mr. Pincus received his Bachelor of the Arts in History and Government from Skidmore College in 2007 and earned his Master of Arts in Global Security Studies from Johns Hopkins University in 2014.
